What We OfferIt has always been the policy of Warren RECC to provide support to community organizations through educational programs, scholarships, employee contributions and community involvement. Educational ProgramsEmployees visit area schools and civic groups to explain the principles of electricity, electrical safety and electrical emergencies. School programs demonstrate real life electric situations including the physics of electricity, and electrical safety including electrical emergencies. Programs are provided to fire departments and other response organizations on dealing with electricity in emergency situations. Employees also explain the many energy efficiency programs that are provided by Warren RECC. To request a program, contact the Member Services Department at 270-842-6541, or any Warren RECC office. High School Scholarship ProgramWarren RECC provides college scholarships to five high school students in its service area each spring. Interested candidates may apply through their school guidance counselors or Warren RECC's Member Services Department. Click here for details. Frankfort Youth TourWarren RECC sponsors up to 18 high school juniors on a day tour of our state capitol in Frankfort each April. High school guidance counselors select the students. The winners are selected from students chosen for the Frankfort Youth Tour. Click here to view. To learn more about the Washington Youth Tour, click here. 4-H Club ShadowingA number of 4-H club members spend a day with Warren RECC employees learning about jobs that are available in careers in which they are interested. Young Farmers and 4-H ClubsWarren RECC helps sponsor various awards programs on a local and regional level to recognize young farmers and 4-H members. American Private EnterpriseWarren RECC sponsors the American Private Enterprise program for over 60 high school students from its Warren County service area. Students attending the 3-day program learn about the free enterprise system. United WayWarren RECC employees contribute over $30,000 annually to support the United Way programs and many are volunteers in these programs.
