 Business Support Mission

Goal:  To continually network with member customers in building relationships that allow for open interaction between the cooperative and business and industry customer base.

Strengthening customer relations with new and expanding businesses is a key component of the cooperative’s Key Account Model.  The model allows for consistent networking with local, area, state and other officials in an effort to ensure Warren RECC involvement with commercial and industrial prospects that might be expanding or locating to the Warren RECC service area.

County by County Overview:

Barren County

The Glasgow-Barren County area has a total of 269 acres available for industrial development.  The largest site is a 200 acre tract located in Highland Glen Industrial Park in Glasgow.  Warren RECC and Barren County officials work in collaboration with Idea (Industrial Development Economic Authority).  For information on locating your business or industry in the Barren County area, contact Don Doty, Interim Director for IDEA at 270.651.6314 or e-mail at idea@glasgow-ky.com.  Information regarding sites and buildings available can also be obtained by visiting http://www.thinkkentucky.com

Butler County

The community’s business and industrial development activities are coordinated by the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce.  Located in the Industrial Park South are 98.7 acres available for industrial development.  The property is located in close proximity to the William H. Natcher Park Way which offers easy access to and from the county.

  • ASCO Products Corporation recently announced plans to invest $1.7 million to ward the consolidation of two plant operations.  The company presently has 30 employees at its Morgantown location and could potentially add an additional 70 within the next two years.  The company manufactures power plugs and cigarette lighters for the auto industry.

Warren County

Bowling Green Economic Development Authority

These industries have located or expanded in the Bowling Green-Warren County area within the last year. Warren RECC works in cooperation with the Bowling Green-Warren County Area Chamber of Commerce in support of those businesses situated in the Warren RECC service area.

  • American Howa Kentucky, Inc. - $12 million – AHKI located in the Transpark during late 2007 and has initiated its expansion activities.  The company manufactures dash insulators, headliners and other interior parts for the automotive industry.

  • The Bowling Green Economic Development Authority has over 500 acres of prime industrial properties available in the Kentucky Transpark located 8 miles north of downtown Bowling Green.  Properties are within close proximity to I-65 and the National Corvette Museum and are rail accessible.

Simpson County

Franklin-Simpson County Industrial Board) 

  • Governor Beshear and the Kentucky Economic Development Cabinet announced in August 2008 that Integrity Automive, LLC would build an $84 million facility in Simpson County Kentucky that would be utilized for manufacturing low-speed, energy saving electric vehicles.  A total of 4,000 jobs are expected to be created within the first four years of the project’s completion.
  • The Franklin-Simpson County Industrial Board has available 500 acres for industrial development use.

Edmonson County

Edmonson County Industrial Authority

  • YAMI (Yahagi American Molding, Inc.) – was selected as the Edmonson County Industry of the Year for 2008.  The company manufactures molded parts for the automotive industry.
  • The Edmonson County Industrial Authority has available 55 acres of prime industrial properties with potential rail accessibility.  Properties are located within 1 mile of Interstate 65 at Park City.

Logan County 

Logan Economic Alliance for Development (LEAD)

  • Cumberland Scrap Processors (CSP) began operating on April 18, 2008.  The company accepts non-ferrous metals such as aluminum and cooper as well as all types of steel.  The company processes light metals making them more transportable to other facilities for re-use.  The facility is open to the general public Monday through Friday from 8AM to 4PM.  Special arrangements for some industrial clients are available.    

Ohio County

Ohio County Industrial Development Foundation

  • The Ohio County Industrial Authority is marketing 850 acres of prime industrial property situated within the Bluegrass Crossings Regional Business Center located adjacent to the Bluegrass Parkway at Beaver Dam, Kentucky.  Companies presently located in the park are Ritatsu, DSSA and Diacel Safety Technology of America and Diacel Safety System of America.

Grayson County

Leitchfield-Grayson County Industrial Development Corporation (IDC)

  • The IDC has available 200 plus acres of industrial properties available for business and industry use. The property has rail accessibility with partial infrastructure completed.  Also available is a 90,000 sq.ft. Industrial building.
