What Uses Watts in Your Home

Electricity usage is calculated in kilowatt-hours. A kilowatt-hour is 1,000 watts used for one hour. As an example, a 100-watt light bulb operating for ten hours would use one kilowatt-hour.

Easy to use formula: Divide the total Watts by 1,000, multiply this number by the number of hours used, then multiply by .07 (the charge per kilowatt-hour through Warren RECC/TVA). The final figure equals the cost for the period.
