June 30, 2023 (Bowling Green, KY) 9:00 a.m. We had a productive night once yesterday’s storms moved through. As of 9:00 a.m., we have 1,500 members without power.

As we were finishing up restoration on Sunday’s storm, another round of storms came through yesterday that created additional outages. At the height of yesterday’s storms, we had approximately 10,000 members affected. Today, our crews continue to work alongside visiting crews and will work until all outages are restored. Today, we have approximately 40 additional crews on the ground providing assistance.

As the holiday weekend approaches, please remember to steer clear of crews and work areas. Following a storm, debris and broken/fallen tree limbs can pose numerous risks. Downed or low hanging lines can still be energized and deadly. Aside from the risk of serious injury to you, spectators can divert a lineman’s attention from their current task. When working with high voltage wires, linemen must be able to focus their thoughts on what they are doing. It could literally be a matter of life and death.

We will continue to provide updates as information becomes available. Please remember to stay away from downed power lines. If you see a downed power line, please report it to one of our outage lines: In Warren County call 270-843-9710. Outside Warren County, call 1-888-604-4321.
