March 5, 2023 (Bowling Green, KY) 7:30 p.m. In just 48 hours since a historic windstorm hit the region, Warren RECC and visiting crews have restored power to 32,200 members and are now working to restore power the remaining 12,800 without power.

With the assistance of additional crews on the ground today, we have been able to make good progress on our restoration plan. We continue to ask for patience as we restore the remaining areas. The damage from this storm was extensive and complex, causing power outages that could last for several more days. However, we are working around the clock to get power restored as soon as possible.

As we continue the restoration process, we encourage everyone to remain aware of the dangers of fallen power lines. Assume they are energized and extremely dangerous. Additionally, please remember avoid work areas. We want to keep everyone as safe as possible during our restoration efforts.

We will continue to provide updates as information becomes available. Please remember to stay away from downed power lines. If you see a downed power line, please report it to one of our outage lines: In Warren County call 270-843-9710. Outside Warren County, call 1-888-604-4321.
