May 17, 2025 (Bowling Green, KY) Severe storms passing through the area yesterday and last night caused widespread power outages. Strong winds caused numerous broken poles and downed power lines throughout the Warren RECC territory. As of 7:15 a.m. CDT, we have approximately 8,300 members without power. The vast majority of those are in Warren County.
After the final round of storms last night, crews worked through the night to assess additional damage and continue to work this morning. They will work until all outages are restored. Based on our early assessment, we expect a multi-day restoration event, and we request patience.
